Well, they did it.
Erick Sermon AKA "The Green-eyed Bandit" (of renowned rap duo EPMD) and Brownsville New York's Mash-Out Posse AKA "M.O.P." (Lil Fame and Billy Danze) snuck in one of the top bangers of 2025 right before the buzzer. The song lands on Erick Sermon's latest album, Dynamic Duos, vol. 1, which dropped on December 5th.
The beat sort of reminds me of 40 Bars by Allen Iverson (from the album NBA commissioner David Stern warned Iverson not to release).
It always feels so good to hear a two-bar, East-Coast beat with real gutter NY street raps from elite professionals.
Thanks to Fat Joe and Jadakiss for letting Erick Sermon play this song on their new podcast Joe and Jada. It went platinum on Twitter. Beyond that, it made my day.
You wont find this on Spotify, which Erick Sermon goes into in the episode with Joe and Jada. The Green-eyed Bandit wants to take it back to core fancases and digital downloads. Ive had many discussions about this in the past 10 years. Honestly, I feel like it might be the only way to make real money for music artists NOT in the Top 50 most-streamed artist in the world.
Oh yeah, our company, HYPE INTRO, makes the dopest sports team starting lineup voice-over introduction announcements. Check us out. We have no competitors. But, if we did, they certainly would not be blogging about Erick Sermon and M.O.P., haha.
You are now rockin' with the best,
Todd @ HYPE INTRO
